This session will provide an outline of what the Eclipse Scripting API is, how to start off writing some simple scripts, visual scripting, some real-world examples, and what is new in ESAPI 15.5.

Learner Outcomes:

  1. Use scripting clinically to improve dosimetry workflow
  2. Write simple scripts without the need to know coding
  3. Describe the limitations of scripting in older versions (< v15.5)

Jonathan Rogers is the Chief Medical Physicist at Rock Hill and Lancaster Radiation Therapy clinics in South Carolina. Prior to this, he was with Alyzen Medical Physics, where he spent most of his time commissioning linear accelerators and writing software applications to improve efficiency.

Graduating from Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2007, Jonathan has lived mainly in the south and has practiced medical physics for over 10 years. Having 3 children, 9, 4, and 7 months, he spends his free time now playing with his kids.
