This session will provide a 30-minute discussion of different types of technics to plan breast boosts.

Learner Outcomes:

  1. List a few tools to your arsenal for breast boost planning
  2. Discuss when an electron, 3d plan, and VMAT plan are necessary for breast planning
  3. Explain why the LAD and heart are organs of risk for breast boosts

Antoinette Connor, CMD
, started her career in the radiologic sciences as an x-ray technician 37 years ago while in the US Army. From x-ray, she progressed to Radiation Therapy in 1993 after graduating from UT MD Anderson Health Science Center. She worked as a radiation therapist for 14 years at UT MD Anderson Cancer. In 2008, she graduated from UT MD Anderson Health Science Center program in Medical Dosimetry. Currently, she is employed as a Sr. Dosimetrist at Houston Methodist Hospital Clear Lake

Jessica Stanulus, CMD, graduated from Armstrong Atlantic State University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Radiological Sciences with an emphasis in radiation therapy and has 20 years of radiation oncology experience.  She went to an accredited medical dosimetry program at Saint Leo University in 2009 and recently accepted a position with Varian after working for the Levine Cancer Institute for 12 years.
