Live Session:
Wednesday, August 20, 2025
1:00 - 2:00 PM Eastern Time
The recorded session will be available within 24 hours of the live session. The recorded session needs to be completed by Wednesday, September 17, 2025, to earn CE credits.
This presentation will provide an in-depth exploration of RapidArc Dynamic (RAD), a radiation therapy technique that integrates dynamic gantry positions, supports pausing gantry rotation, and dynamically rotates the collimator in treatment arcs with contiguous MLC apertures. Participants will learn about the technical foundations of RAD, including its GPU-based optimization engine, and how it differs from traditional VMAT approaches. The session will include detailed case studies across diverse treatment sites, demonstrating how RAD can improve dosimetric quality while potentially reducing delivery time compared to current techniques. The presentation will highlight practical strategies and techniques tailored for dosimetrists to implement in the clinic.
