Treatment planning efficiency is driven not only by planner experience but also by the effective use of standardized workflow tools. Eclipse offers a variety of integrated features – including Clinical Goals, optimization templates, planning protocols, encounters and structure templates – that work together to reduce repetitive tasks, improve planning consistency, and provide real-time guidance throughout the planning process. This session will demonstrate how these tools can create a more efficient and standardized workflow, reduce unnecessary plan iterations, and improve planner confidence while maintaining high-quality treatment plans. Through practical clinical examples, attendees will gain strategies they can implement within their own departments to enhance workflow efficiency, promote consistency across planning teams, and optimize overall treatment planning quality.

Learner Outcomes:

1. Identify Eclipse workflow tools that improve planning efficiency and reduce manual, repetitive tasks
2. Explain how standardized planning resources—including Clinical Goals, optimization templates, planning protocols, encounters, and structure templates—can improve consistency across planners
3. Evaluate opportunities to incorporate Eclipse workflow tools into their own department to enhance efficiency, standardization, and overall plan quality

Presenters:
Richard Corbett III, MBA, MHA, CMD, earned his first degree from Kansas State University, graduating in 2016 with a BS in Chemistry Pre-Health before relocating to Houston, TX, to pursue advanced studies in Medical Dosimetry. He subsequently completed a second Bachelor’s in Medical Dosimetry at UTH MD Anderson Cancer Center in 2019. Continuing to expand his expertise beyond clinical practice, Richard graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2025 with both an MBA and an MHA. As a practicing medical dosimetrist, he began his professional career within the CHRISTUS Health system in Shreveport, LA, and later transitioned to Varian, Siemens-Healthineers, where he currently provides multi-network dosimetry support, and actively contributes to internal quality improvement initiatives, clinical success workshops, peer reviews, staff training, monthly educational meetings, and various internal and external task groups. Outside of his professional career, Richard loves spending time with his lovely wife, Hannah, their two amazing daughters, Adelyn and Hadley Blake, their two crazy dogs Ezra and Nova, as well as family and friends

Josh Gardner, MS, CMD, RT(T), is a Medical Dosimetrist with almost 10 years of experience in radiation oncology as both a Radiation Therapist and Medical Dosimetrist. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from North Carolina State University in 2015, completed his Radiation Therapy degree at Forsyth Technical Community College in 2017, and received his Master of Science in Medical Dosimetry from John Patrick University in 2020, where he now serves as an Adjunct Instructor for the dosimetry program.

Josh works as a Medical Dosimetrist on the Rapid Response Team at Siemens Healthineers. The Rapid Response Team is composed of dosimetrists who provide planning support across multiple clinics and work with a variety of treatment planning and record-and-verify systems. Within Siemens Healthineers, he is an active member of the Peer Review Team and contributes to new technology initiatives, training, and clinical workflow improvements. His passion for education and his experience working in diverse clinical environments have led him to present at the 2026 AAMD Annual Meeting, where he delivered a presentation on clinical education and participated in an educational panel discussion. When he's not optimizing treatment plans or teaching dosimetry students, Josh enjoys spending time with his wife, Molly, and their three children, Emmy (8), Miles (5), and Abigail (3).
